Bluehost Black Friday 2026: what to expect and how to save

This post may contain affiliate links. If you buy through them, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

This guide covers what to expect from Bluehost’s Black Friday 2026 sale, what Bluehost offered last year, what the plans cost today and how to judge the deal when it arrives. As of 13 October 2026, Bluehost has not announced its Black Friday 2026 offer. I will update this post when it goes live.

Bluehost is one of the hosts most new bloggers look at first. It is one of the three hosts on the WordPress.org recommended hosting page, it installs WordPress for you and its entry plan is cheap on a long term.

Black Friday is when a lot of people buy it. That makes sense if you were going to start a blog anyway. It makes less sense if a countdown timer talks you into a bigger plan or a longer term than you need.

So this guide sticks to what I could check. I will not guess what the 2026 discount “will” be. I will show you what Bluehost published about its 2025 sale, today’s listed prices and the things to check before you pay.

Key takeaways

  • As of 13 October 2026, Bluehost has not announced a Black Friday 2026 offer.
  • Bluehost’s own blog said its 2025 Black Friday sale cut web hosting plans by 70%, with no promo code needed.
  • On 13 October 2026, the Starter plan was listed at $3.99 a month on a 36-month term, renewing at $9.99 a month.
  • Bluehost said in 2025 that the discounted price was locked in for the initial term only. Expect normal renewal prices after that.
  • Every shared plan has a 30-day money-back guarantee, but a domain fee is deducted if your plan came with a free domain.
  • Past offers are not a promise. Decide your plan and term before the sale starts.

Has Bluehost announced its 2026 Black Friday deal?

No. When I checked on 13 October 2026, neither Bluehost’s homepage nor its shared hosting page mentioned Black Friday, and I could not find a 2026 Black Friday page or announcement on Bluehost’s site.

What I did see was a site-wide banner reading “Buy more, save more” with “up to 25% extra off” on web hosting, VPS hosting and other products. No end date was shown, and it is not labelled as a Black Friday offer. Treat it as a regular promotion and check the details on the page if you buy before November.

Last year, Bluehost’s Black Friday post on its own blog was published on 7 November 2025. That is not a promise for this year, but it suggests the 2026 offer may not appear until November. I will update this post when it does.

If you would like to know the host properly first, my full Bluehost review covers the plans, features, pros and cons.

What Bluehost offered on Black Friday 2025

Bluehost published the details of its 2025 sale in a post on its own blog, dated 7 November 2025. According to that post:

  • Web hosting plans (Business and eCommerce Essentials): save 70%.
  • Managed VPS hosting: save 40%.
  • Design and marketing services: save 20%.
  • SiteLock, CodeGuard and Premium SSL: save 25%.
  • Yoast Premium: $2.99 a month for the first year.
  • No promo code was needed. Discounts applied automatically.
  • A free domain and SSL were included with the Black Friday web hosting plans.

The post also said the discounted price was locked in for the initial term, that the domain renews at standard rates after the first year and that Bluehost extended its Black Friday discounts through Cyber Monday.

Two things I could not confirm. The post did not list the exact plan prices during the sale, and it did not give clear start and end dates. Its headline also says “up to 75%”, while the body says 70% for web hosting. I am going with the figure in the body. Past offers are not a promise.

Current Bluehost prices (before Black Friday)

These are the shared hosting plans listed on Bluehost’s shared hosting page on 13 October 2026, in US dollars and without VAT.

PlanListed priceTermRenews atWebsitesStoragePhone support
Starter$3.99 per month36 months$9.99 per month1010 GB NVMe SSDNo
Business$6.99 per month36 months$13.99 per month5050 GB NVMe SSDYes
eCommerce Essentials$14.99 per month36 months$21.99 per month100100 GB NVMe SSDYes

All three plans list weekly backups, a free domain for the first year, free SSL, a free CDN, 24/7 chat support and a one-month free trial of Pro Email. The free domain has to be redeemed within 90 days of purchase.

On a 36-month term, Starter works out at about $143.64 paid upfront and Business at about $251.64, before tax. Keep these figures. When the sale starts, compare the Black Friday total for the same plan and term against them.

Which plan to pick when the sale starts

  • You are starting one blog: Starter is enough. Ten websites and 10 GB of storage is plenty for a new blog. It has no phone support, only chat.
  • You want phone support or plan several sites: Business. Bluehost’s 2025 sale named Business among the discounted plans, so it may be the one where the sale makes the biggest difference. That is a guess based on last year, not a promise.
  • You plan to sell products: eCommerce Essentials adds WooCommerce tools, payments, subscriptions and memberships. If you are only blogging, you do not need it.
  • You are comparing hosts: my Hostinger vs Bluehost comparison sets out the differences, and my guide to the best hosting for a new blog explains what a first blog needs.

Watch out

The sale price covers your first term only. On today’s listing, Starter renews at $9.99 a month and Business at $13.99. The lowest monthly price needs a 36-month term paid upfront. Check the cart for add-ons, and note that Pro Email renews at $2.50 a month after its free month unless you cancel. If you cancel within 30 days, Bluehost deducts a non-refundable domain fee from your refund when your plan included a free domain.

How to get the best Black Friday price

  1. Bookmark this page and Bluehost’s site. Check again in early November, when the 2025 offer was announced.
  2. Decide your plan in advance. Use the section above so a banner does not decide for you.
  3. Compare the total charged today. Write down the amount and the number of months it covers.
  4. Check the term length. A lower monthly figure on a longer term is not always the better deal.
  5. Check the renewal price. It is shown next to each plan. Set a reminder for a month before it applies.
  6. Review the cart. Untick trials and add-ons you do not want.
  7. Use my link if you would like to support this blog. It goes to Bluehost’s own site and you pay the same price.

Is it worth waiting for Black Friday?

If you want to start a blog this week, I would not wait six weeks for a sale. The introductory price is already low, and six weeks of writing is worth more to a new blog than a few dollars.

If you are not in a hurry, waiting is reasonable. Last year’s sale cut web hosting by 70% according to Bluehost, a bigger percentage than the “Save 50%” label on the Business plan today. I cannot tell you whether 2026 will match that, so compare the real totals when the offer appears.

Once your hosting is sorted, the next job is setting up the blog itself. My guide on how to install WordPress walks you through it.
