This guide covers what to expect from Cloudways on Black Friday 2026, what it offered last year, what it costs right now and how to get the best price when the sale starts. As of 13 October 2026, Cloudways has not announced its Black Friday 2026 offer. I will update this post when it goes live.

Cloudways is managed cloud hosting. You pick a cloud provider such as DigitalOcean and a server size, and Cloudways sets up, secures and looks after the server for you. It is the step many bloggers take when shared hosting starts to feel slow, and it is priced very differently from the cheap shared plans that dominate most Black Friday lists.

Cloudways does not sell multi-year terms at a low introductory price that jumps at renewal. It bills by the hour and invoices monthly, so a Cloudways Black Friday deal means a percentage off your first few months, not a cheap four-year contract.

I have not run my own speed tests on Cloudways, and I have not bought hosting from Cloudways during a Black Friday sale. Everything below comes from Cloudways’ own website, checked on 13 October 2026, plus the sources listed at the end. If you want the full picture of the product first, read my Cloudways review.

Key takeaways

  • As of 13 October 2026, Cloudways has not announced a Black Friday 2026 deal.
  • Last year, Cloudways’ own blog listed 50% off for 3 months on all hosting plans, with the code BFCM5050, for new customers only.
  • When I checked, Flexible plans on DigitalOcean started at $11 per month, and the pricing page showed a 30% off for 3 months banner.
  • Billing is hourly and invoiced monthly. There is no long contract and no renewal jump.
  • Any Black Friday discount is likely to be time-limited, so the regular price is what you will pay over the long run.
  • A brand-new blog does not need Cloudways. It suits sites that have outgrown shared hosting.

Has Cloudways announced its 2026 Black Friday deal?

No. I checked the Cloudways homepage, the pricing page and its Black Friday blog page on 13 October 2026. None of them showed a Black Friday 2026 offer. The Black Friday page on the Cloudways blog still described the 2025 campaign.

Some websites already show “Cloudways Black Friday 2026” headlines with a discount filled in. As far as I can tell, those are last year’s figures with a new year in the title. Past offers are not a promise.

What Cloudways offered on Black Friday 2025

Cloudways’ own Black Friday blog post described the 2025 offer like this:

  • Hosting: 50% off for 3 months on all Cloudways hosting plans.
  • Add-ons: 50% off for 3 months on app-level add-ons such as Malware Protection, Cloudflare, Rackspace email, Elastic Email and DNS Made Easy, and on the Advanced Support add-on.
  • Migrations: 50 free expert-led migrations.
  • Promo code: BFCM5050.
  • Eligibility: new customers only.
  • Dates: the post lists the validity as 11 November to 4 December 2025.

One detail is unclear. A disclaimer on the same page says the offers were valid until Cyber Monday, 1 December 2025, which does not match the 4 December date above. HostScore, which tracks hosting deals, gives 5 December 2025 as the end date. So the sale ran for roughly three weeks either side of Black Friday, but I cannot confirm the exact final day.

Notice the shape of that deal. Half price for three months is a real saving, but it ends after three months, and from month four you pay the normal hourly rate for your server.

Current Cloudways prices (before Black Friday)

Cloudways’ pricing page is interactive and prices change with the provider and server size, so I list only the figures I could confirm on 13 October 2026.

ProductListed price on 13 October 2026How it renews
Flexible on DigitalOcean (smallest server)From $11 per monthSame rate each month, billed hourly
Autonomous Growth$99 per monthSame rate each month
Autonomous Scale$199 per monthSame rate each month
Autonomous Plus$399 per monthSame rate each month
Off-site backup storage$0.033 per GB per serverCharged on use
Rackspace email$1.50 per mailbox per monthMonthly add-on

The pricing page also showed a banner reading “Get 30% OFF for 3 Months on All Plans”, and a separate offer on the Advanced Support add-on, listed at $25 per month instead of $100 per month. Those are current promotions, not Black Friday deals, and they may change at any time.

There is no renewal table here because Cloudways does not have introductory terms. The price you see is the price you keep paying, unless Cloudways changes its rates or you change your server.

Which plan to pick when the sale starts

Cloudways sells two products. Decide which one fits before the sale, so that you are not choosing under time pressure.

  • A growing blog on one server: Flexible on DigitalOcean is the natural starting point. Start with a small server and move up when your traffic needs it. Resizing is part of how Cloudways works.
  • Several sites, or a small agency: Flexible still makes sense, because you can host as many sites as the server can handle. A three-month discount on a larger server saves more in dollars.
  • A busy business site or store: look at Autonomous, which scales automatically. Its plans start at $99 per month, so a percentage discount there is worth more, but so is the commitment.
  • A first blog: skip Cloudways for now. Shared hosting is cheaper and includes email and a domain. My guide to the best hosting for a new blog explains why.

Before you move, check your site itself. A heavy theme or unoptimised images slow a site on any server. My guide to speeding up WordPress covers the fixes that cost nothing.

Watch out

Discounts are short. Last year’s deal covered three months. Work out what you will pay from month four, because that is your real long-term cost.

The server is not the whole bill. Backup storage, email and several useful features are paid add-ons. Add them up before you compare Cloudways with a shared plan.

New customers only. Last year’s offer was for new customers, so an existing account may not qualify.

Refunds. I did not find a money-back guarantee on the pricing page. Cloudways offers a 3-day free trial instead, so use it to test before you pay.

How to get the best Black Friday price

  1. Bookmark the pricing page. Check it from mid-November. Last year’s sale started on 11 November.
  2. Decide your server in advance. Pick the provider and size you need now, not the biggest one the discount makes look cheap.
  3. Use the free trial early. Start a 3-day trial before the sale, move a copy of your site and test it. Then you buy with confidence when the deal appears.
  4. Check how long the discount lasts. Read whether it covers one month, three months or more, and whether it applies to add-ons.
  5. Note the code. Last year’s offer needed a promo code at checkout. If this year’s does too, enter it before you confirm.
  6. Work out the price after the discount. Multiply the normal monthly rate by twelve and add your add-ons. That is your first-year budget.
  7. Use my link. It supports this site at no extra cost to you.

Is it worth waiting for Black Friday?

It depends on how urgent the move is.

If your blog is struggling on shared hosting right now, I would not wait six weeks to save on three months of hosting. On a small server, the difference between the current 30% offer and a possible bigger discount is a few dollars a month. Lost readers and slow pages cost more than that.

If you are planning a move and have time, waiting makes sense. Use the free trial now, test your site on a Cloudways server, and buy when the Black Friday offer is announced. Because there is no long contract, you are not locked into a bad decision either way. You can resize or cancel later.

Frequently asked questions

When does the Cloudways Black Friday sale start?

Cloudways has not announced dates for 2026. Last year, its blog listed the offer as valid from 11 November 2025, so it is sensible to start checking from early November. Black Friday 2026 is on 27 November.

Has Cloudways announced its Black Friday 2026 deal?

Not as of 13 October 2026. I checked the Cloudways homepage, pricing page and Black Friday blog post, and none showed a 2026 offer. I will update this post when it goes live.

What was the Cloudways Black Friday deal last year?

In 2025, Cloudways’ blog listed 50% off for 3 months on all hosting plans and several add-ons, 50 free migrations and the promo code BFCM5050, for new customers only. Past offers are not a promise of what will happen this year.

Does the Cloudways Black Friday discount apply to renewals?

Cloudways does not have renewals in the usual sense, because it bills hourly and invoices monthly. Last year’s discount covered the first three months, after which the normal rate applied. Existing customers were not eligible for that offer.

Can I get a refund from Cloudways?

I did not find a money-back guarantee on the Cloudways pricing page. Instead, Cloudways offers a 3-day free trial with no credit card required, and because billing is hourly you can delete a server you no longer need. Read the terms before you buy if refunds matter to you.

Is Cloudways worth it for a new blog?

Usually not. It costs more than shared hosting and does not include email or a domain. It makes sense once a blog has outgrown shared hosting.
