This guide covers what to expect from DreamHost on Black Friday 2026, what it offered last year, what its plans cost right now and how to get the best price when the sale starts. As of 13 October 2026, DreamHost has not announced its Black Friday 2026 offer. I will update this post when it goes live.

DreamHost is one of the older independent web hosts. It has been running since 1997, describes itself as employee-owned, and says it hosts more than 1.5 million websites. For bloggers, the products that matter are its WordPress Hosting plans, which are shared hosting with WordPress tools, and DreamPress, its higher-performance managed WordPress hosting.

Like most budget hosts, DreamHost shows a low introductory price that applies to your first term only. The longer the term, the lower the monthly figure, and the full term is charged at checkout. A Black Friday deal does not change that model. It only changes how low the first term goes.

I have not run my own speed tests on DreamHost, and I have not bought DreamHost hosting during a Black Friday sale. The prices below come from DreamHost’s own website, checked on 13 October 2026. For the product itself, read my full DreamHost review.

Key takeaways

  • As of 13 October 2026, DreamHost has not announced a Black Friday 2026 deal.
  • In 2025, Post Status listed DreamHost’s Black Friday offer as WordPress Hosting “starting at $1.99” plus a free handcrafted website build, valid 21 November to 2 December 2025.
  • Today, the WordPress Hosting Launch plan is already listed at $1.99 per month on a 4-year term, renewing at $7.99 per month.
  • The full term plus taxes is charged at checkout, so a low monthly price means a larger payment upfront.
  • WordPress Hosting plans include a 30-day money-back guarantee. Domain registrations are not refundable.
  • If you need hosting now, the current price is already close to last year’s sale headline.

Has DreamHost announced its 2026 Black Friday deal?

No. On 13 October 2026, I checked DreamHost’s WordPress Hosting page, its shared hosting page, its main hosting page and its news page. Several plans were marked “On Sale”, but none of these pages mentioned Black Friday 2026. The news page only showed unrelated domain offers.

Some deal sites already carry “DreamHost Black Friday 2026” headlines. The ones I read either said the deal was “coming soon” or repeated older figures. Until DreamHost publishes its own offer, nobody knows what this year’s deal will be. Past offers are not a promise.

What DreamHost offered on Black Friday 2025

I could not find DreamHost’s own announcement of its 2025 Black Friday sale. The clearest record I found is the Post Status list of 2025 Black Friday WordPress deals, which showed DreamHost’s offer as:

  • Headline: DreamHost WordPress Hosting starting at $1.99.
  • Extra: a free handcrafted website build on top of discounted WordPress Hosting plans.
  • Validity: 21 November 2025 to 2 December 2025.

Other deal sites gave per-plan sale prices for 2025, but they did not agree with each other, so I could not confirm the exact 2025 price of each plan, the term it required or the discount on DreamPress.

One thing stands out. The 2025 headline price of $1.99 is the same as the price DreamHost lists for its Launch plan today on a 4-year term. In other words, the “sale” headline last year was not much lower than this October’s listed price. That may change in 2026, but it is a useful reality check.

Current DreamHost prices (before Black Friday)

These are the WordPress Hosting plans listed on DreamHost’s WordPress page on 13 October 2026. The term shown was 4 years.

Launch$1.99 per month$7.99 per month after 4 years2525 GB NVMe40k
Growth$3.49 per month$8.99 per month after 4 years5050 GB NVMe200k
Scale$7.99 per month$19.99 per month after 4 years100100 GB NVMe400k

All three plans list daily automated backups, unlimited free SSL, a free domain for the first year, three months of free email and a 30-day money-back guarantee. The page states that the full term plus taxes is charged at checkout.

Term length changes the price. On DreamHost’s shared hosting page, Launch on a yearly term was listed at $2.89 per month for the first year, auto-renewing at $10.99 per month.

Other products listed on DreamHost’s hosting page on the same day:

DreamPress 1 (managed WordPress, 1 site)$14.99 per month$19.99 per month
Managed VPS Business$13.75 per month$31.99 per month
Stack 4 (self-managed VPS)$6.99 per month$11.99 per month

Which plan to pick when the sale starts

  • Your first blog: Launch is enough. 25 websites and 40k monthly visits is far more than a new blog uses, and daily backups are included even on this plan. My guide on how to start a blog covers what comes after hosting.
  • A few sites, or a blog that is growing: Growth doubles the storage and gives much more room for visits. It also includes more mailboxes during the email trial.
  • Many sites or a busier site: Scale, or DreamPress if you want managed WordPress with staging and a CDN.
  • Not sure about hosting types? Read my guide to the best hosting for a new blog before the sale starts.

Watch out

Renewal prices. Every price in the tables is for the first term only. Launch renews at $7.99 per month after a 4-year term, or $10.99 per month after a 1-year term.

Long terms are paid upfront. The full term plus taxes is charged at checkout.

Email is a trial. WordPress Hosting includes three months of email, then email is billed separately.

Domains. The free domain covers the first year only, and DreamHost’s terms say domain registrations are not refundable.

Refund rules. The 30-day guarantee applies to card and PayPal payments, and excludes VPS, dedicated servers and email products.

The cart. Check for extras before you pay and remove anything you did not choose.

How to get the best Black Friday price

  1. Bookmark the WordPress Hosting page. Last year’s offer ran from 21 November, so check from mid-November.
  2. Pick your plan now. Decide between Launch, Growth and Scale before the sale, so a countdown timer does not decide for you.
  3. Compare terms. Look at the total charged today for each term, not only the monthly figure.
  4. Check the renewal price. It is printed under each plan. Decide whether you would pay it.
  5. Compare with today’s price. Note the current price now, so you can tell whether the Black Friday price is actually lower.
  6. Review the cart. Remove add-ons you do not need.
  7. Use my link. It supports this site at no extra cost to you.

Is it worth waiting for Black Friday?

If you need hosting now, I would not wait. DreamHost’s current Launch price on a 4-year term matches last year’s Black Friday headline, and the 30-day money-back guarantee gives you a safety net. Six weeks of not publishing costs more than a possible small saving.

If you are not in a hurry, waiting is reasonable, as long as you write down today’s prices first. That way you can see whether the Black Friday offer is a real improvement, or simply the same price with a sale banner.

If you are still choosing between budget hosts, compare the offers side by side in my Hostinger Black Friday guide and Bluehost Black Friday guide.
