Namecheap runs one of the biggest Black Friday sales in the domain world, with discounts on domains, shared hosting, email and SSL. This guide covers what Namecheap offered last year, what its domains and hosting cost right now and how to plan your purchase. As of 13 October 2026, Namecheap has not announced its Black Friday 2026 offer. I will update this post when it goes live.

Namecheap is best known as a domain registrar, but it also sells shared hosting, managed WordPress hosting through EasyWP, business email and SSL certificates. For a blogger, the two products that matter most are the domain name and the hosting plan, and Black Friday is when both tend to get their deepest cuts.

The tricky part with Namecheap is that its sales are spread across many products and promo codes. Last year, each product group had its own code, and the biggest percentages were on less common domain extensions rather than on .com. Knowing that in advance helps you avoid buying a cheap domain you do not really want.

Below, every price comes from Namecheap’s own pages, checked on 13 October 2026. I have not run my own speed tests on Namecheap’s hosting, so this guide focuses on prices, terms and the small print.

Has Namecheap announced its 2026 Black Friday deal?

No. When I checked Namecheap’s promotions page on 13 October 2026, it listed ongoing offers such as a 30-day free trial on shared hosting and a first-year .com discount for new customers, but nothing about Black Friday 2026.

Last year, Namecheap announced its Black Friday sale on the day it started, 21 November 2025, through a press release. So do not expect much advance notice. I will update this post as soon as the 2026 offer appears on Namecheap’s site.

What Namecheap offered on Black Friday 2025

Namecheap called its 2025 sale the “Black Friday Matrix of Deals”. According to its official press release dated 21 November 2025, it ran from 21 November to 5 December 2025 at 11:59 PM ET. These were the main offers relevant to bloggers.

.org domain$6.48 first year, down from $12.98MATRIXTLD25
.store domain$0.48 first year, down from $48.98MATRIXTLD25

EasyWP managed WordPressUp to 50% off yearly plans, up to 95% off monthly plansNo code needed
Private EmailFrom $0.49 per monthMATRIXMAIL25
SSL certificatesUp to 35% offMATRIXSSL25

The domain code worked on up to five domains. The press release also listed discounts on PremiumDNS, FastVPN and Namecheap’s marketing tools.

Two things stand out. First, the .com discount was about half price, while the headline “up to 99% off” applied to extensions like .store. Second, the shared hosting figure was “up to 80% off”, so the exact saving depended on the plan and term you picked. Past offers are not a promise, and I am not going to guess what 2026 will bring.

Current Namecheap prices (before Black Friday)

These are the prices Namecheap listed on 13 October 2026. All are in US dollars.

The renewal prices come from a Namecheap knowledge base article that announced higher shared hosting renewal prices from 19 May 2026. The hosting page itself does not say which billing term the “then $2.28 per month” figure belongs to, so check the total in your cart before you pay.

Namecheap adds ICANN’s fee of $0.20 a year to some domains at checkout. Free domain privacy is included with every eligible domain registration or transfer.

Which plan to pick when the sale starts

Decide before the sale, not during it. Here is how I would think about it.

  • You only need a domain. Pick a .com, or your country’s extension, and compare the sale price with the renewal price. A cheap first year on an unusual extension can turn expensive in year two.
  • You are starting your first blog. Stellar covers three websites, which is enough to start. If you have not settled on a topic yet, read my guide on how to choose a profitable blog niche before you buy a domain.
  • You plan to run several sites. Stellar Plus adds unlimited websites and AutoBackup. I think AutoBackup alone is a good reason to pick it.
  • You want managed WordPress. Look at EasyWP during the sale, because last year it had its own discount with no code needed.
  • You are still comparing hosts. My guide to the best hosting for a new blog explains what matters for a new site.

Watch out

  • Renewals. Namecheap’s own hosting page says its advertised discount “does not apply to renewals”. The same is very likely for a Black Friday code.
  • Domain renewals. A domain that costs under a dollar in year one can renew at $30 or more. Check the renewal column first.
  • Trial and refund. The 30-day money-back guarantee only applies to first-time shared hosting customers who did not start with the free trial.
  • Domain refunds. Namecheap’s refund policy says domain registrations are generally non-refundable, apart from a discretionary five-day window for some cases.
  • The cart. Remove extras you did not ask for before you pay.

How to get the best Black Friday price

  1. Bookmark Namecheap’s promotions page. Last year’s sale was announced on the day it began.
  2. Decide on your domain name now. Check it is available today, so you are not choosing in a hurry.
  3. Pick your hosting plan in advance. Stellar for one or two blogs, Stellar Plus if you want unlimited sites and AutoBackup.
  4. Check the term. Compare the total charged today for one year and two years.
  5. Check the renewal price. Use the tables above as a guide and confirm it in the cart.
  6. Enter the right code. Last year each product group used a different code, and bundle offers could not be combined with other codes.
  7. Use my link. Go through my Namecheap link so you land on the current offer.

Is it worth waiting for Black Friday?

For a domain, often yes, if you are not in a hurry. Last year’s .com price was $7.48 for the first year, and today it is $10.98. That is a small saving, but it is real.

For hosting, it depends. If you need a site online now, Namecheap’s 30-day free trial already lets you start without paying, and you can decide later. If you want the deepest first-term discount and you are happy to wait six weeks, the sale may save you more.

What Black Friday does not change is the renewal price. Whichever day you buy, plan for the year-two cost. Once you have your domain and hosting, my guide on how to install WordPress walks you through the next step, and my full Namecheap review covers the pros and cons in more detail.

Has Namecheap announced its Black Friday 2026 deal?

Not as of 13 October 2026. Its promotions page listed regular offers only. I will update this post when the deal goes live.

What was Namecheap’s Black Friday deal in 2025?

The official “Matrix of Deals” offered up to 99% off selected domains, a .com for $7.48 for the first year, up to 80% off shared hosting and discounts on EasyWP, email and SSL, from 21 November to 5 December 2025.

Does the Black Friday discount apply to renewals?

Namecheap’s hosting page says its advertised discount does not apply to renewals, and domain sale prices are for the first year. Expect to pay the regular renewal price after that.

Can I get a refund on a Namecheap Black Friday purchase?

Shared hosting has a 30-day money-back guarantee for first-time customers who did not start with the free trial. Domain registrations are generally non-refundable, apart from a short discretionary window. Read the refund policy before you buy.

Should I buy a domain now or wait?

If you need the domain for a project starting now, buy it now, because a good name can be taken. If you can wait, last year’s .com sale price was lower than today’s first-year price.
