WPX Hosting is a premium managed WordPress host, and Black Friday is usually the one time of year its prices drop sharply. This guide explains what WPX offered last year, what it charges right now and how to get the best deal when the sale opens. As of 13 October 2026, WPX has not announced its Black Friday 2026 offer.
WPX is not a budget host. It sells itself on speed, fast support and free extras such as malware clean-ups and migrations, so a seasonal discount can save real money. Its Black Friday offers also have several moving parts: first-month discounts, free months added at the end of a term and a payment deadline. This guide sorts them out before the countdown timers start.
A note on how I wrote this. I have not run my own speed tests on WPX, so there are no benchmark numbers here. Every price and offer detail below comes from WPX’s own website, checked on 13 October 2026. Where something is my opinion, I say so.

Has WPX announced its 2026 Black Friday deal?
No. When I checked on 13 October 2026, neither the WPX homepage nor the WPX blog mentioned Black Friday 2026 or Cyber Monday 2026. The most recent posts on the blog were from June 2026, and none of them were about a sale.
The only promotion on the site was a standing one: 79% off your first month on monthly WordPress hosting plans with the code SAVE79. That is a first-month discount only, and the site did not say when it ends.
As of 13 October 2026, WPX has not announced its Black Friday 2026 offer. I will update this post when it goes live.
What WPX offered on Black Friday 2025
WPX published its 2025 offer on its own blog on 28 November 2025, and it also posted a separate terms page for the promotion. Here is what those two official pages said.
- 24 November 2025 The Black Friday deals for new clients went live.
- 8 December 2025 The offer period ended.
- 17 December 2025 Deadline to pay any order placed during the sale. Unpaid invoices were cancelled the next day and could not be reinstated.
Free months on annual and multi-year plans
For WordPress and WooCommerce plans paid for a year or longer, WPX added free months to the end of the paid term:
| Term | Free months added | Discount WPX quoted |
|---|---|---|
| 1 year | 4 months | 33% off |
| 2 years | 6 months | 50% off |
| 3 years | 12 months | 60% off |
| 4 years | 18 months | 67% off |
| 5 years | 24 months | 72% off |
The terms page added some important conditions. The free months come after the paid term ends, they cannot be swapped for cash or credit, and they are lost if you cancel before they start. You could claim one offer per plan, and you could not stack several 1-year plans to make a longer term.
Monthly plans
The WPX blog post listed discounted monthly prices, with the headline “up to 85% OFF” on monthly plans. For example, it showed Starter at $2.69 per month (85% off) and Business at $4.99 per month (83% off). The terms page said the monthly discount applies to the first month only, after which regular prices apply.
One detail is unclear. The terms page also shows the SAVE79 banner that is running on the site now, so I would treat the 85% figure as the best case WPX advertised, not something every buyer received.
Current WPX prices (before Black Friday)
These are the WordPress plans listed on the WPX website on 13 October 2026. The yearly option is described on the site as “2 months free if you pay yearly”.
| Plan | Monthly | 1 year, per month | 1 year, paid upfront | Websites | Storage |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $17.99 | $14.99 | $179.90 | 1 | 10 GB |
| Business | $29.99 | $24.99 | $299.90 | Up to 5 | 20 GB |
| Professional | $59.99 | $49.99 | $599.90 | Up to 15 | 40 GB |
| Elite | $119.99 | $99.99 | $1,199.90 | Up to 35 | 80 GB |
WPX also lists longer terms. On a 5-year term the per-month price was $11.99 for Starter, $19.99 for Business and $39.99 for Professional.
What about renewals? WPX’s 2025 Black Friday terms said that once the discounted period ends, you pay the regular prices, and the regular prices it listed are the same as the monthly and 1-year figures in the table above. So with WPX, the renewal price is the normal list price, and the gap between the sale price and the renewal can be large on monthly plans.
All plans list unlimited visitors. The homepage also lists automatic daily backups, free SSL certificates, daily malware scanning with free clean-ups, unlimited free migrations and WPX’s own CDN, which it calls XDN. Business email with unlimited mailboxes is listed from the Business plan upward.
Which plan to pick when the sale starts
- One new blog. Starter covers one website with 10 GB of storage and 100 GB of bandwidth. For a single blog that is still growing, that is plenty.
- A few sites, or you want email at your domain. Business allows up to 5 websites, doubles the storage and adds business email. If you run more than one site, Business is the sensible starting point.
- Many sites. Professional allows up to 15 websites. Only choose it if you already have the sites to fill it.
- An online shop. WPX sells separate WooCommerce plans (Powerstore, Superstore and Hyperstore). They were included in the 2025 sale too.
If you are still at the stage of choosing your first host, WPX may be more than you need. My guide to the best hosting for a new blog compares cheaper starting points, and the Hostinger Black Friday guide covers a budget alternative.
Watch out
- Monthly discounts are for the first month only. A very low first month is followed by the full monthly price.
- Free months come at the end. In 2025 they were added after the paid term and lost if you cancelled before they began.
- Long terms are a big commitment. A 5-year term paid upfront is a large single payment, even at a discount.
- Domains were not refundable. In 2025 all domain-related purchases were excluded from refunds.
- Pay on time. Last year, unpaid sale orders were cancelled after the payment deadline.
How to get the best Black Friday price
- Bookmark the offer page now. Save my link below and check back from mid-November. Last year the deals started on the Monday before Black Friday.
- Choose your plan in advance. Count your websites and decide whether you need business email. That decides between Starter and Business.
- Pick a term you will actually use. The biggest free-month bonuses belong to the longest terms. Only choose a long term if you are sure you will keep the site on WPX.
- Check the regular price. Look at what the plan costs after the discount, because that is what you will pay at renewal.
- Pay before the deadline. Complete payment straight away so the order is not cancelled.
Is it worth waiting for Black Friday?
If your current hosting is fine until next year, yes. Waiting six weeks costs nothing, and last year’s offer beat WPX’s normal “2 months free” on a yearly plan.
If you need hosting today, for example because your current host is failing or your blog is launching now, I would not wait. The SAVE79 code already gives a large first-month discount on monthly plans, and a monthly plan lets you move to an annual plan later. Just remember the full monthly price applies from month two.
