GreenGeeks Black Friday 2026

GreenGeeks is a WordPress host that sells itself on renewable energy, and it usually joins the Black Friday rush with lower first-year prices. This guide covers what it offered last year, what its plans cost right now and how to time your purchase. As of 13 October 2026, GreenGeeks has not announced its Black Friday 2026 offer. I will update this post when it goes live.

GreenGeeks has been around for many years and focuses on shared hosting for WordPress and WooCommerce. Its main selling point is environmental: it says it matches its energy use three times over with renewable energy credits, through a partnership with the Bonneville Environmental Foundation. If that matters to you, Black Friday is the cheapest time to try it.

Like most budget hosts, GreenGeeks shows a low monthly price for the first term and a much higher renewal price after that. A Black Friday deal lowers the first number. It does not change the second. That is the most important thing to understand before you buy.

Every current price below comes from GreenGeeks’ own pricing page, checked on 13 October 2026. I have not run my own speed tests on GreenGeeks, so this guide is about prices, terms and planning, not benchmarks.

Key takeaways

  • GreenGeeks has not announced a Black Friday 2026 sale yet. Black Friday falls on 27 November 2026.
  • Its 2025 Black Friday sale, as reported by hosting deal sites, cut the Lite plan to $1.95 a month on a 12-month term. I could not find GreenGeeks’ own announcement.
  • Today, the Lite plan is listed at $2.95 a month, prepaid for 12 months, and renews at $13.95 a month.
  • All three WordPress plans come with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
  • The renewal price is four to five times the introductory price, so budget for year two.
  • Past offers are not a promise. Choose your plan now so you are ready if a sale appears.

Has GreenGeeks announced its 2026 Black Friday deal?

No. When I checked GreenGeeks’ homepage and WordPress hosting page on 13 October 2026, the plans showed “Special Price” labels with the usual introductory discounts, but there was no Black Friday banner or announcement. I also could not load a dedicated Black Friday page on its site.

In 2025, deal coverage of GreenGeeks’ sale was already online by 19 November, more than a week before Black Friday. That suggests the 2026 sale could start early too, but GreenGeeks has not said so. I will update this post when it does.

What GreenGeeks offered on Black Friday 2025

I could not find a press release or blog post from GreenGeeks itself about the 2025 sale. Two independent sources described the same offer, so I am sharing it with that caveat.

Plan2025 Black Friday priceRegular price shown at the time
Lite$1.95 per month$12.95 per month
Pro$3.95 per month$17.95 per month
Premium$5.95 per month$29.95 per month

Bitcatcha’s deal page, which says it shows details from the previous sale, lists these prices on a 12-month plan with an end date of 3 December 2025. Gadget Bond reported the same $1.95 starting price in an article published on 19 November 2025, calling it an early Black Friday 2025 sale. Hostscore also described it as up to 85% off, running until 3 December 2025.

Notice one thing: the regular prices quoted last year were $1 lower than the renewal prices GreenGeeks lists today. Renewal prices can rise between sales, so always check the current figure.

Current GreenGeeks prices (before Black Friday)

These are the WordPress hosting plans GreenGeeks listed on 13 October 2026. All prices are in US dollars.

PlanListed priceTermRenews atWebsitesStorage
Lite$2.95 per monthPrepaid for 12 months$13.95 per month125 GB
Pro$4.95 per monthPrepaid for 12 months$18.95 per monthUnlimited50 GB
Premium$8.95 per monthPrepaid for 12 months$30.95 per monthUnlimited100 GB

GreenGeeks shows savings of 79%, 74% and 71% against the renewal prices. All three plans list unmetered traffic and a 30-day money-back guarantee. The page also mentions daily backups, free SSL certificates, CDN support, LiteSpeed servers and free migration with a domain included for the first year.

Because the listed price is prepaid, Lite at $2.95 a month means one payment of about $35.40 for the first year, before tax.

Which plan to pick when the sale starts

  • One new blog. Lite is enough. It hosts one website with 25 GB of storage. If you have not picked a topic yet, my list of blog niche ideas is a good place to start.
  • More than one site. Pro is the plan I would choose. It allows unlimited websites and doubles the storage, which gives you room to grow without upgrading later.
  • A busy site or a shop. Premium has the most storage, but for a large WooCommerce store, compare it with managed cloud hosting such as the plans in my Cloudways review.
  • Still comparing hosts. Read my guide to the best hosting for a new blog first.

Watch out

  • Renewal prices. Lite renews at $13.95 a month, Pro at $18.95 and Premium at $30.95. A Black Friday discount usually applies to the first term only.
  • Prepaid terms. The listed prices are paid upfront for 12 months. Check the total charged today.
  • Free domain. The domain is free for the first year only. Note what it costs to renew.
  • Upsells in the cart. Remove any extras you did not choose before paying.
  • Refund rules. Read the money-back terms before you buy, especially how a free domain is treated if you cancel.

How to get the best Black Friday price

  1. Bookmark the pricing page. Last year’s sale was live before Black Friday itself.
  2. Decide your plan in advance. Lite for one blog, Pro for several.
  3. Check the term length. Compare the 12-month total with any longer term offered during the sale.
  4. Write down the renewal price. Decide now whether you would pay it in year two.
  5. Check the cart. Make sure the sale price is applied and no extras are added.
  6. Use my link. Go through my GreenGeeks link so you land on the current offer.
  7. Set a reminder. Add a calendar note a month before renewal so you can compare prices calmly.

Is it worth waiting for Black Friday?

If your blog can wait six weeks, probably yes. Last year’s reported Lite price was $1.95 a month, against $2.95 today. On a 12-month prepaid term, that difference is about $12. It is not life-changing, but it is a real saving for doing nothing.

If you need your site online now, the difference is small enough that I would not delay a project for it. The 30-day money-back guarantee gives you a safety net either way. What matters more over time is the renewal price, which is the same whether you buy today or on Black Friday.

Once your hosting is ready, follow my guide on how to start a blog for the next steps. I am also publishing a full GreenGeeks review if you want the pros and cons in more detail.
