HostPapa Black Friday 2026: what to expect and how to save

HostPapa is a Canadian web host aimed at small businesses and beginners, and its 2025 Black Friday sale was reported to run for more than a month. This guide explains what was reported for 2025, what HostPapa charges now and how to work out whether the sale is worth waiting for. As of 20 October 2026, HostPapa has not announced its Black Friday 2026 offer.

HostPapa’s shared plans include cPanel, free SSL, email hosting and a free domain on selected extensions for the first year. It also sells optimised WordPress hosting, VPS and dedicated servers.

The headline prices are for a three-year term paid upfront, and they apply to the first term only. That is normal for budget hosts, but it means the real decision is about the renewal price and the length of commitment, not just the monthly figure.

A note on how I wrote this. I have not run my own speed tests on HostPapa, so there are no benchmark numbers here. Current prices come from HostPapa’s own website, checked on 20 October 2026. Last year’s offer comes from a deal tracker, and I say so.

Has HostPapa announced its 2026 Black Friday deal?

No. When I opened HostPapa’s Black Friday address on 20 October 2026, it showed the standard “Save up to 77% on web hosting” pricing and did not mention Black Friday for any year.

As of 20 October 2026, HostPapa has not announced its Black Friday 2026 offer. I will update this post when it goes live.

What HostPapa offered on Black Friday 2025

I could not find HostPapa’s own 2025 terms page, so this section uses HostScore’s deal page, which tracked the sale.

  • Dates. 10 November to 16 December 2025, a long sale that started more than two weeks before Black Friday.
  • Shared and WordPress hosting. Up to 89% off, from $1.45 per month.
  • VPS. Up to 70% off, from $4.45 per month.
  • Included. Free website migration, cPanel, free SSL, email hosting and 24/7 support, with a free domain for the first year on shared and WordPress plans.
  • Renewal. Shared and WordPress plans renewed at regular rates after the first term.

HostScore also noted that advanced staging tools and malware removal were not included on the lower tiers. Past offers are not a promise.

Current HostPapa prices (before Black Friday)

These are the shared hosting prices HostPapa listed on 20 October 2026, based on a 3-year term.

PlanFirst term, per monthSaving shown
Essentials$2.9577%
Growth$5.9567%
Premium$6.9572%
Elite$9.9568%

HostPapa says the promotional price applies to the first term only, for new shared hosting customers, and plans renew at regular rates. The regular rates were on a linked page that I could not read, so check the renewal price in the cart. The free domain covers selected extensions for the first year, and if you cancel during the first term, a non-refundable domain fee applies.

Which plan to pick when the sale starts

  • One new blog. Essentials is the starting plan. Check its site and storage limits in the plan details before you buy.
  • A few sites or a growing business. Growth and Premium are the middle tiers. Pick one only if you need more sites or resources now.
  • Busy sites. Elite is the top shared plan.
  • WordPress only. HostPapa’s optimised WordPress hosting started at the same $2.95 per month on the homepage, so compare the two before deciding.

If you are still choosing a host, read my guide to the best hosting for a new blog, and compare with my Bluehost and Hostinger Black Friday guides.

Watch out

  • Three years upfront. The advertised monthly price needs a 3-year term paid in one go.
  • Renewals are at regular rates. Check the regular price before you pay.
  • Domain fee if you cancel. Cancelling in the first term costs you the domain fee.
  • New customers only. The promotional price is not for existing accounts.

How to get the best Black Friday price

  1. Note today’s price. Essentials is $2.95 per month now. The Black Friday price needs to beat that.
  2. Check from early November. Last year’s sale was reported to start on 10 November.
  3. Decide the term. Choose three years only if you are sure you will stay.
  4. Find the renewal price. Ask support or check the cart for the regular rate.
  5. Test in the first 30 days. Move your site and check it while the refund window is open.

Is it worth waiting for Black Friday?

If your current hosting lasts into November, yes. Last year’s reported starting price of $1.45 was about half today’s $2.95, and the sale started early and ran until mid-December.

If you need hosting today, the current price is already low. Just check the renewal rate and the 3-year term carefully. My guide on how to start a blog walks through the rest of the setup.
